Need help with a blow through setup please

Hey all, I'm interested in fabricating a blow through single turbo setup for my engine on a resoanable budget (I'm a student) and I could really use some opinions and information that I haven't been able to find. Basically I just want some more power out of my current engine which consists of a 4-bolt main 355, fully ported and polished 487X casting heads with 2.02/1.60 undercut Manley valves, 9.35:1 compression with flatop forged pistons, Comp Xtreme energy 268H cam (224/230 @ .050, .477/.480 lift, 110 LSA), Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Holley 670 cfm street avenger carb. I'd be happy with a reliable 450-475 horse, and I'd like to limit boost to 6 pounds or less since its a cast crank and stock x rods with arp studs. I'm thinking of using a turbo off of a wrecked diesel truck (such as a newer ford powerstroke engine). Now, first question is can a vacume secondary carb be used for a blow through setup? If so what modifications do I have to do to it? I drive the car everyday so I'd like to keep my current carb. Second is 670 cfm enough? Third, I currently have a carter 110GPH mechanical pump, I read somewhere theres a way to boost reference a mechanical fuel pump is this true and if so does anybody have any info on how to do it, and also is this enough fuel pump? My final question is in reguards to exhaust, my car currently has full length 1 5/8" headers and full 2.5" duals. I'm thinking of running ported vette manifolds and just modifying the passenger one for the turbo, my question is do I split the drivers side where it exits the manifold so that one pipe wraps around to the passenger manifold, and the other part of the split runs into my regular drivers side exhaust pipe? The car has 2.5" full duals so should the crossover pipe be 2.5" as well (so essentially I bolt a 2.5" Y to the DS manifold, run my regular exhuast into one side of the Y, and the crossover into the other)? This may be a stupid question but all the research I've been doing has shown twin turbos or a y-pipe style 2 into 1 into 2 type system (F-body style). Thanks for any help its appreciated.

Engine: carb'ed 305 in the 87, yuck...
Transmission: 700R4, for now....
Don't think you can use a vaccum secondary carb. Everyone I've seen has been mechanical. It doesn't really matter how you connect the drivers side of the motor the the passenger side as long as all the exhaust goes through the turbo. I'd go with a 3" pipe at least out of the turbo and then y into your current exhaust. Or, since it'll be single at the start anyhow, sell your duals for good money and use the extra to help fund the project
Everything else sounds like you're on an ok path. Just be warned, tuning a blow through carb is interesting to say the least, but, when it's done, is well worth the effort if you're on a budget. I've been playing with a blow through twin turboed 383 all summer and let me tell you, it was worth every second of work when you can put the car sideways at 80 plus
