Thinking about going with a carbed supercharger setup
I was thinking about going with one of the short 144 blowers but im not sure if it will fit under my ws6 hood. Also i have been reading some on the centrifugal carb setups on past posts and they sound like they are PITA to get tuned. On my car i am starting to miss having torque so i am thinking about going with the roots style so i can have some fun with my tires. This is a total street car but i hardly drive it only on the weekends. Are there any other options i might have. The tuning has made me give up on other projects so i dont want to big of a PITA. Here are the mods i will be running when i put the supercharger on motor is 4bolt main .030 350,10k since rebuild, hyperuetetic pistons stock compression?,stock rods, stock crank, blower grind cam for whatever blower, stock 92 tbi truck heads, victor jr intake, super comp shorty headers, full msd ignition,5speed, and 3.73 gears. The guy i bought the car from originally said the motor was rebuilt to factory compression of a 92 tbi truck 350 so im guessing around 9 to 1 compression.
What do u think would be a good setup for the street. After a lil while i will go with aftermarket heads too. Feel free to let me know if something on my car is not going to work very well
