are all turbos the same?
Are turbos from diesels the same? For example a Full Size Ford Van with a turbo diesel. Would that turbo work on anything? Would it be worth anything?

All turbos work on the same principles.
Differences are in airflow rate, exhaust flow, spool characteristics, etc
