TPI383,how do you like the HX55 ?

I recently got one for my project but I'm not sure about id,ing the exhaust housing.I think it's a 22cm since thats the only number a saw that I recognized.What do you have and how does it spool.And what kind of boost are you running?Thanks

Sorry cant answer that for ya. Motors not done. Just collecting parts.

Might be on hold for longer now as I found a 1stGen I want to buy for a Pro-Touring/ Power Tour build.

Thanks TPI,Got mine used off a rolled 99 International with 750,000 miles.At least it's under a million.The turbo it's self seems to be OK and could probably be used to test it as is.I got the oil lines clamps piping and all.Here's a faked setup pic on my 78 Z I took for one of my friends.

It was a HX50. It is almost identical to the HX55.

Well, I guess I was a little off.

The 55 was designed as a replacement for the 50 in the same applications (funny since the 50 has a reputation for being more durable). Most of their compressor wheels, shafts and turbine wheels are interchangeable even though the housings are not. They both use the same published compressor map.

Just wondering. I knew it was a large Sob like this one.

One of these days I might get around to useing it.
once again motivation has changed and Im looking to do a 67 RS.
