Cam selection?

Cam selection?
I have a 87 Iroc 350 tpi, can some one help me out with a cam selection? I want a cam that will give me a gain of 40-50 hp of course with the proper heads. Just throw out some ideas for me.

Axle/Gears: 3.55 moser 12-bolt
well seeing as this is the power adder section.....throw on a used vortech s/c for $2000, instead of $1500 heads and a $300 cam.... $200 more BUT 100hp more too.

Help me out a little, does the 87 have a roller cam or did that start in 89?
