Cam selection????

Hey guys ive decided that since i never got to trade my 468 bbc for this 355. im goin to wait to build the 468 and build up the 305. now dont start with the whole 350 crap, if your goin to post about just sayin get a 350 and dont work on the 305, dont post. thank you

now ive been planning to turbocharge somehting. and after the deal with the 355 didnt go thru, i got confuised again about what to build. so now im goin to build up the 305 for some boost.

my question here is what kinda cams should i look at or into for boosted applications. i really still dont know much about cams. they confuse me about lift and all that fun stuff.

if there is anyone that can help me out thanx.

plans for this car is keep the 305, get the BBSdesign single turbo kit, front mount inner cooler( pretty much will get that in a few days as long as i win it on ebay 22 hours left), keep the car or find a TPI set up or get a Holley set up out of jegs (maybe).

also with the possiblity of tryin to find a t56 tranny, if not im sure the th350 will hold up.

i want this car to be fast maybe liek best 12's in the 1/4 if not more not hoping on much. and be a killer on the highway just for fun if something comes along side. also theres goin to be tons of body work done to the car and will end up in show condition.

so if you guys can help me that would be great. im just doin something alittle differnt then everyone and using the 305 since its that or the 468

first..... the BBC will be a beast to put in your car.. read about bbc swaps real good b4 trying it.

2nd, you will want to check out a cam that specifically is made for boosting... itll be advertised that way

pretty much and correct me if im wrong, but its like this

more duration allows for more air/fuel and exhaust exhange which buiilds power

higher lift opens the lifters more allowing for more exhange and more power.

the centerline and LSA have to do with the timing of the engine ie advance and retard which im not sooo sure about
