Paintball C02 nitrious tank?

The other day as i was doing some spray homework i realized that nitrious has about the same pressures, same tolerances to heat, same consistancy, same everything as C02. Now ive been working at a local paintball store for the past 5 years and i know that paintball C02 tanks are dirt cheap compared to nitrious bottles. do you think it would be possible (or wise for that matter) to use a paintball C02 tank to hold some spray? an added advantage would be that no one would be the wiser seeing a C02 tank in your trunk
ideas?

N2O is not explosive.

But… N2O is usually stored at a much higher pressure then CO2 and you are trying to deliver N2O as a liquid so the bottle needs to be equipped with a pickup, different valve…

I believe that CO2 bottles use different fittings also.

dont look at co2 paintball tanks, look at the high-pressure air bottles, (nitrogen bottles) they are more expensive, but used exclusivly by the more expensive guns. (because it doesnt damage the internal seals with the freezing co2)

some are good for 5000 psi, compared to co2's 900.
