Nitrous blow down tube

I need a blow down tube for my nitrous bottle.

I have exterior threads, so if I take off the cap, can I just put a -8an female fitting and a braided steel line on it and that would work to pass tech?

Or do I have to put a pressure valve on too then the blow down tube?

Am I just better to just buy the one that comes from Zex or any other nitrous company?

Well I don't know the answer but you might want to pick up a rule book. Perhaps post on the drag racing forum? Someone there may be more familiar with the rules.

NOS blow down tube was only like $19. I would think you would be into braided line for more than that

Good luck.

can you take a pic of your valve? I just want to make sure you are not taking off something important. I know on my bottle I had to buy the blow down tube setup. The BOV on the bottle didn't have any threads. But I have a NX bottle. But what you are saying will work. Just needs to be vented outside of the car. But as far as being NHRA legal I don't know a braided line could whip around pretty vilonet if not tied down good.

Could I use a blow down tube from, say a nx bottle,.
the zex one is $36
I think there are cheaper ones, I hope!!

The pic looks kinda the same as the NX (to fuzzy to tell) But looks like the NX one will work for you too. When you bottle is empty just take the BOV out and put in the new one. It has threads on the top of it that you bolt the tube to.
