Old pic...
Uses a little flat bracket. Fairly basic stuff. Never had any probs. In hind-sight though id mount them further away from the engine, but i just heat wrapped that manifold and left it.
Hope it helps.

How bout a pic from some of the guys with MAF cars? how did you mount your NX shark nozzles?
What Im really loooking for is a whole setup picture. MSD box, solenoids and purge......with an NX kit.

It's not rocket science. Just bolt it, zip tie, duct tape it to something and you're good.
Being a wet kit put the nozzle behind the maf ~6" away from the TB. And have fun.

looking at my MAF boot I would have to drill the hole in my MAF.....for the nozzle, thats the only place there is a flat surface. Unless I can drill in the boot? but my boot is the acordian style boot....and I wouldnt think nozzle would sit right.
any suggestions?

So you drilled a hole directly into the MAF unit? Toward the very end Im sure? did it damge the MAF in anyway? Thats actually where I was thinking of putting mine.Originally posted by Free Bird

Nope, the maf still worked fine. Just make sure you use the right drill bit. I had one size smaller than what was req' so it took forever to cut the threads.
Also.....be careful, those things are expensive.

I did it on my LT1 car without any problems (actually it worked great), it would be easier on a TPI car since the maf is longer and smaller in diameter.
I actually drilled thorugh the flange and made a notched camp that fit around it:

Here you can see that I actually drilled and tapped it at an angle so it actually aims right at the center of the TB:

On my formula the maf is quite a bit farther away from the TB and around a bend so I just installed a bushing in a flat spot in the ducting in front of the TB, but running it like in my pictures would work great on a camaro.

yeah Im thinking of putting it where the arrow is but on the other side.
I guess thats where I'll pu it then. Now time to figure put where to put the selonoids at..

On my formula I made a little bracket that held the solenoids up above the fuel rail shrader valve and ran the lines straight forward from there (used a couple of high pressure 90* ends to make it look nice, instead of adaptors or bending the braided). It looked seriously trick.
On my WS6 I mounted them below the headlight motor and ran the braded line in the convoluted tubing that the fuel lines were run in. Add a little extra to cover the nozzle and the whole setup disappeared while being in plain site (the fuel and wiring was run under the big cowl and then inside the fender above the inner fender lining.

On the nozzle.......after looking at yours more closely, I noticed that your MAF is metal.
Mine is plastic, you think I should use the bushing that comes with the shark nozzle or just tap straight ino it like you did?
DO you remember what size tap that is you used?

that plastic should be fine, I would just tap it.
the tap was an 1/8" npt

its getting there! I tapped the nozzle straight into the MAF and it worked like a charm, nice and tight. I think I should get the lines shorten up a bit. I surely need to have the Shrader valve line shorten, its way to long, I just have it sitting there...... I'll take them to a place that makes braided lines and he can cut them for me and use the same ends. It looks like the lines are resting on my ALT but they are far from it. Its still a long way from being finished but Im gettting there, just taking my time.
