I Am Confused (nitrous)
WELL I WENT TO THE HANG OUT TODAY, AND WAS HEARING THAT YOU CAN NOT SPRAY ON A MANUAL CAR 4 OR 5 GEAR. RESONE ("THE MOTOR IS SPINING TO FAST"). I WAS THINKING ABOUT WHAT MY BUDDY WAS SAYING AND IT SOUNDED VERY DUM, WHY WOULD THE MOTOR BE SPINNING AS FAST, AS WHEN YOU CHANGE GEAR YOU ARE AT A LOWER RPM. I AM CONFUSED AND BEFORE I SHOT MY CAR ON NITROUS DONT WANT TO BLOW MY MOTOR.

Are you saying that you cannot spray when you are in 4th or 5th gear? What i do know is that you cannot just spray at the top end of your car, you will fry your head gaskets (i think those)... and you will need to put some money into the car.
As for a manual and not spraying, get a kit with a WOT solonoid on it, when you let off the gas you dont spray. Simple as that.

they say that because of your trans your eng. has no way of knowing if you are going 25mph or 200mph it is only load and rpm as far as the eng. goes
you don't want to be beating on the overdrive gears. "most" overdrive gears are weaker. they are made to keep you car moving at a lower rpm they are not made to race on.
do people do it? yes. have I yes. usually you hear this at the dyno and not the 1/4 mile since most 1/4 mile cars end in or befor direct drive (4th in the t-5 and t-56 and 3rd in the 700r4)
