is this ok for nos?

hey my engine combination is 355 with speed pro forged pistons, esp forged eagle rods, esp 4340 forge crank, gm fastburn heads, edel pro flow efi system. c/r 10.6:1 (is this nos friendly?) and if i choose to run nos assuming that this combination is good for it. should i consider running a cam grinded for nos? and how much of a shot should i run? sorry i dont know to much about nitrous

thanks

Sounds like a good set up. How much depends on your tuning, start small and work your way up.

As to the cam, it depends on what you do with the car. If it is a street car, your best bet is to stick with the cam you have, if you are happy with it. If it is a drag car and your goal is as fast as possible, and will spray every run, then you will want to consider a nitrous cam.

I would like to see the cam specs you are running now.

thats the funny thing i dont have a cam yet. im going to have a custom ground cam so i have no idea what the specs will be im still in the process of having the block machined so i dont know
i know i dont want to put more than a 150shot on it. im pretty sure i have better internals than an ls1 and the stock bottum end ls1 can hold 200shot so...

It’s up to the use/what’s important to you. A N2O grind will have about the same idle quality as a comparable NA grind, but will make a little more power when you’re spraying. It will also make a little less midrange NA and get slightly worse gas mileage. OTOH, with an NA cam it’s not hard to jet up slightly to get the same power as if you were using an N2O grind.

For a 150 shot I would run a NA cam.
