I am looking for a MAF equipped car with a 5.7L. I have an 8 psi Vortech to put on it, and I want to do full exhaust upgrade along with ported stock heads. I have been told that the GM TPI with MAF doesn't respond as well to mods as the old 5.0 Mustang. Why is this? Does this mean I will need to have a chip burned? My buddies 5.0 is putting 425 to the wheels with no problems, so I figured GM's MAF would compensate like Ford's does. What am I missing here? I'm new to the GM EFI, so bear with me Thanks a bunch!
