NX kit installed, a few ? before I spray.
I just did a search and didnt see what I was looking for.
I just installed my NX kit this week. It is a Universal EFI Wet kit adjustable to 150. My questions are this, should I retard the timing on my 383? How far? Should I increase the fp? How much? Should I change the plugs?
Right now I am using AC Delco plugs, fp is set a 30 PSI WOT, and my timing is about 12* btdc.
My motor is a completely forged and balanced bottom end. My cam is a LT4 hotcam, with a Miniram intake. I am not worried about the motor being able to handle a 150 shot, I am worried about human error screwing up the 150 shot!
Any help would be great.

Stock timing is at 6*, NX says it isn't necessary to retard timing w/ their small (150) kits. Horse ****.
Back it off to 6-8* BTDC or use a retard switch and you'll be fine. 92-93 octane, non platinum plugs, yada, yada, yada...

I'd drop down to an AC-Delco R43TS or R42TS (I believe those are the numbers for 2-3 stages colder than stock). R43TS and cutting timing a few degrees would work well.
