Camden Blower
Ok I've done it I have a Camden Roots blower on my car, with all the accesories (except smog) intact and functional, under a G&T fiberglass 3" cowl. So it can be done. BTW For those of you who have not driven a car with a blower, I recommend it.
Still I have One question, Does any onbe know what size Blower the Camden Is?
It actually looks slightly bigger than the 142 Weiand and a little smaller than the 177. the rotors are a little longer than a 142 and still shorter than the 177, I was guessing it was about a 168 CI Blower. Also I have a Autometer Vac/Pressure guage whit I tried to hook up, but it does not seem to be getting vacuum, has it at the fitting to the manifold, but not at the gauge. the tube is not kinked, is it possible I over tightened the the crush sleeve and pinched the tube? If so Are the Oil pressure gauge tubes the same?
Thanks to all of you who put the time to help me out.

I have a vacume gauge on the car and with a 276 cam and 114 degrees of seperation I get about 18 #'s of vac. So I would say yes, where i noticed a diff is at cruising speed the motor runs a lot lower of vac. than I expected 5-10. at about 1800 revs.
As you can tell by the above I did get the gauge working, I had to replace the nylon tubing...

Camden Blower's is a company, the bloewr i have is comparable to their 12".
It's a roots style muxh like weiand but the cases are much stronger and the rotors are teflon lined. It also is force fed engine oil which returns back to the oil pan via 2 holes in the manifold that dump into the valve galley.
will post pics as soon as my home pc is alive again.
I am now hacing running issues with the motor. I started having the issues once before and thought I had cured them. the motor idles fine but under load (IE when ever the clutch is out) it stumbles and refuses to stop. Almost like the motor is loading up, or the timing is gone totally retarded or something. I've done a full tune up, wires, plugs, coil, module and dist cap.

Little warning, They are a great blower but they have 2 issues,
1. Being they are LOUD and i do mean LOUD. It sounds like it's a 4-71 or 6-71 under there they moan something viscious.
2. Find a manifold first, they no longer manufacture a manifold for SBC but they do make eveything else you need to get rolling.
I am having a bit of an issue with my cars computer. Before I installed the blower and I mean like the morning of, i had som running issues, it was acting like it was lugging in any gear when ever I hit the pedal, and it seems like the motor is running really rich. I had assumed it was bad wires since i found some burnt on the headers, so i replaced and went ahead with the install. Now i still have the issue, I have done a full tune up, wires, coil, cap coil rotor, adjusted my mixture, and a couple of other things. I've checked every wire under that hood and have some to the conclusion it MUST be the O2. Does this soud right to any one else reading this?
