L31 headed 305 with boost
Im thinking about putting L31's on my 305 and running a vortech supercharger. Does anyone see a problem with this?

I have no idea, stock cam. Havent bought the heads yet. Where would you think the cr would be with 64cc 350 heads on a 305? 8.5 or so?

When the swap first got popular.
All the people I know of that checked got 62.
It's not like one guy got 61 and another got 63.
Just 62.
Seeing as they are bigger than his stock 305's, no big deal.
But to me it was. I ended up at 10.9 CR on my 383.
I had a big enough cam so it worked. But if you try to optimize it and shoot for x CR. And then find out about the smaller than listed chamber.....

If you used a GMPP .028" composite head gasket and we assumed 62cc for the heads you'd be right at 8.6:1. I think that would be fine for a modest supercharger application assuming you never run lean and never over-do it with the ignition timing.

Ok, I plan on using water/alcohol injection to further help ward off any detonation. Still using stock pistons. Not too much boost, just enough to get me around 350 hp.
