need some help going turbo

I need some guidance on doing a turbo setup for my application. I am new to power adders and I am still doing my own reading and research and I am wanting to get some guidance from all of you. I would like to stick with the junkyard approach if possible. Here is what i already have to build off of........

I have an 83 trans am with a flat top piston 350. approx. 9 to 1 compression, forged internals, .630/.630 280 duration mechanical roller camshaft, victor jr aluminum heads 2.08 intake 1.6 exhaust, 1.5 roller rockers, edlebrock tunnel ram with two 600 holley carbs, msd 6al ignition box, tci turbo 400 trans with trans brake, moser 12 bolt rear end full spool with 3.90 gear ratio. If you need more info let me know.

wondering what you all thought if i should go single turbo or twin?

what size turbo?

how am i going to feed the turbo(s) to the two carbs does a company make a part for this? Ideas on fabricating an enclosure to go around the carbs to feed the turbo into.

I would really appreciate a general list of parts and or modifications i would need to do the job if possible. thanks to all of those willing to share their knowledge.

Swap to a single plane and get a 600 or 650 dbl pumper.
Or sell your whole induction set up and buy a carb set up for boost. There's plenty of info on Turbomustangs in the carb section. Did you actually tune your TR and get it right at idle an WOT. Or just throw it together. If you got it right, you'll probably be ok doing the carb yourself. If not you should buy one already setup. Unless you have the budget to buy one already.

With your cam, a T76 or T88 with the correct turbine and exh a/r. Or 2 T61 compressors. I've seen a similar combo running 2 H3 compressors also. (9's)

Do you have enough car to support 900+ hp and 9's?
Cause that's what your cam is geared towards for turbo use.

Do a search on Rotortoyota? On TM he has a similar setup and runs 8's. Common rule of thumb is you need an aftermarket block for more than 900hp.

You might check around. Depending on your tire size, you may have to much gear for a turbo. Lots of 3.42 and 3.25 combos.
