making custom intercooler
I have a few Q. First has anyone tried to put an intercoler facing down infront of the air dam with elec. fans behind them? If not I was looking at puting bigger fans in place of the stock fans that flow 5,500 cfm, and put some behind the intercooler. I am just tring to figure out if the fans behind the cooler would have to flow as much as the ones at the rad? Would rad fans help the cooler fans pull more? Or would they cancle each other out by causing to much turbulance? If anyone help me find, out it would be a big.
I haven't seen any one do this and I think if I help keep more air going over the coolers it would be more effective. Plus if the fans worked together then you could maybe not have the over heating problem in the summer heat with the a/c on.

Yes you can put fans behind them and it will cool it just fine.
You'll need to find small fans to fit it probably (8-12''?)
The good thing about doing fans like that as well, is that if you make them switched (on the dash), you can leave them on in traffic or at the track to keep them cool & prevent heatsoak.
I'll see if I can find some pictures later.
