NOS Plate System Microswitch
I was intalling the NOS TPI (05151) system on my car when i got to the mounting of the microswitch. I have no idea where to intall it so that wide open trottle activates it. The instructions are very basic and does not say excatly where to mount it. Does anybody have any pictures of how they mounted theres on the trottle body or have any sugestions?
throw that one out, and got to www.jimmy-jams.com and get one

switch
I gave up on mine and went with an electronic activation switch that wires into the tps. Works excellent!

I know this is an older post, but just go to any electronic store, (like radio shack), and they will have a bunch of different switchs.

Here is one way to do it. On my stock throttle body I had the bracket attached to the lower right TB bolt.
No big deal really. You just bend the bracket as you need to ensure that the switch is engaged at WOT.. no rules, no prefab... just bend/cut/twist that sucker to where it needs to be. I could have done it a bit cleaner I guess but it is functional.
I agree that the TPS type switch based on voltage is a nicer way to go but the microswitch is cheap and it works.
Cheers!
