how hard is it to install an ATI PROCHARGER

Well, first do you have a camaro or a firebird? If you have a camaro, then i can help. TRY AND FOLLOW ATI'S DIRECTIONS. The reason why i say try is because they SUCK!
When are you doing the install. I have been thinking of making a GOOD set of directions because i am selling mine and want the buyer to be able to install no problem. Everything is pretty easy. Hardest part is in the intercooling. Also, I STRONGLY RECCOMMEND NOT DRILLING AND TAPPING A HOLE IN THE OIL PAN. It is too thin and you are asking for trouble. I took my oil pan to a shop by my house and he welded in a pipe fitting onto the oil pan so i can screw in the fitting ATI gives you. Also, i replaced the oil feed line with stainless braided line and AQP fittings because mine leaked. Let me know when you do the install. I would totally be willing to help. Some things are confusing and need explaining.

Jim,
Can you tell me about the air duct routing to and from the intercooler and the mounting location of the intercooler itself? I'm curious how it all gets to and from the IC without cutting any panels. Thanks.

-Procharger sits next to the alternator
-Relocate the horn by hole in driver side fender to where the picture specifies
-intercooler hoses/pipes run down hole in fender to the intercooler
-intercooler hangs on by three brackets:
1. center bracket goes on behind hood latch support bolt (usually have to bend this one to fit)
2. The other two fit in a hole already in the frame. You have to look underneath the car, there will be two holes. One is about the size of a half-dollar and the other the size of a quarter. What you do is put the bolts in the bigger hole (threads facing up) and put in down the smaller hole (threads facing down.
-Then pipes/hoses run up other fender hole
-Connect to MAF by the battery
-into the engine
Hope this helped. If you need more help let me know. BTW, this was with my 3 core intercooler. It might be different with the 2 core, not sure. I dont think it would be though.

Thanks for the info Jim. You've clarified it somewhat. Is the pipe that fits down both fenders circular? About what is it's diameter? It doesn't seem like there's much of a hole there (on either side). And is the battery relocated to make room for the MAF?
BTW, I am getting a D1SC kit with 3-core IC in December. I'm just trying to prepare myself for the installation. Thanks again.
