Reliability of superchargers?

Thinking of getting a sc. How does it affect reliability? Does it cut down on engine life at all? Is there anything you have to do to keep the engine in good shape over and above regular maintenance?

With your stock compression, I wouldn't go more than 8 pounds of boost, next about all I can say is that the Pro Chargers are very reliable and they have some that are internally lubed so there's alomost no maintence. If you keep the boost pressure low your engine should last quite a while....
