3000GT twin turbos... to small?

3000GT twin turbos... to small?

I have a pair of turbos off of a 3000GT the Numbers on them it is TD04 they look pretty small I was wondering if they would work on a small block v8

Yeah, those turbos were on the small side for the DOHC 3.0. Throw'm up on eBay and use the money to buy a better matched pair (or single) turbo. You may be able to break even if you are lucky...

Well I got them for free so i dont have any money in them, but my buddy and I both have moded riding lawn mowers... (like 50mph, 6500 rpm, big cam, and carb) stuff and we were thinking of trying to put them on there... I know if it works it wont work that well but i would look cool... the only thing we would need to worry about would be the oiling and they have water cooling on the turbo it self...

Those are Mitsu turbos called 9B's FYI. IIRC, they max out at around 350hp on the 3.0's.

You can skip the water-cooling, just leave the ports open. How much power are your lawnmowers making, with how much displacement? 2-strokes or 4? One of them might possibly work, and would be very cool.

If someone wanted to waste time in fabbing up a JY TT setup for a stock 2.8, those turbo's would work well.
