those of you with a btm or boost gauge

where do you hook up for boost? The instructions for both the btm and my boost gauge mention a boost source on the intake manifold or on the engine.

Where the heck can i hook up to?

btw, this is for an L98...

You hook them up to a vaccuum port on the manifold. I have a superram and hooked them up to a 3/8 port on the back of it.

On a stock plenum the manifold vacuum ports are located at the rear right side of the plenum. You can tap into one of the hoses with a "T" fitting.

thanks for the help. I tapped into one of them, and the gauge is working, but it seems to be reading 20 on the vacuum side at idle.

Is that normal???

That's good vacuum. Most engines with stock or near stock cams will idle with around 18"-22" of vacuum. Camshafts with bigger duration numbers & tighter lobe seperation will have more overlap & therefor lower vaccum at idle.
