which blower is best for my worked 305 TPI

Hey guys,
I have a worked 88 305 TPI with the bottom end heavily modified with forged parts unfortunatly my compression is aroun 9:1 but i add 88 corvette alluminum heads which were ported and polished and i also had the combustion chamber ported as well to lower the compression a tad. Before i get to my question i just want u to know what i got ported the plennum 52 thottle bodie SLP runner edelbrock intake manifold the corvette heads comp roller rockers accel cam part #74211 cloyes timing chain edelbrock headers and a complete flowmaster exhaust system with a free flowing catalityc converter now for my question which blower does any one suggest i like the paxton mainly on it price and dependablity but someone told me the bar that holds the paxton blower is weak and tends to crack so they suggested vortech but ive seen many failures as seen in Car Craft (magazine) and i was dissapointed with the results. I know i need to upgrade the injectors but do u suggest a blower or nitrous the car is a 5 speed and i dont want anything fancy. thanks

The downsides to a Paxton for your application are these:
They only offer kits for third gen F bodies with the SN series head unit. If you want anything better like the novi you will have to custom fabricate the system. Paxton only makes bolt on kits with the SN unit.
No bolt on head unit upgrades are available for your application either.

The SN series head unit has an impeller redline of 39,000 RPM. With the stock pullies suplied in the kit the engine can not be revved over 4880 RPM. If you rev it higher you will cook the supercharger

No intercooler is available.

I'm not sure where you got the idea Paxtons were dependable but the SN series has a reputation for eating it's balldrives. I've had mine rebuilt twice. The first time it was under warranty but it was a major pain in the A·· getting them to honor their warranty. When they finally did they messed up and sent my unit to some guy in Texas and sent me his Mustang unit. It all was a big mess and truly the worst service I have recieved from any business ever.

Try ATI Procharger. They have the best superchargers with the best warranty. Upgrades are available if you want to improve.
It will be my next major purchase.

Actually a Paxton SN series isn't bad for a stock low reving TPI engine that pretty much runs out of @$$ at 5000 RPM. The price isn't bad either.

It's a whole different ballgame when you begin to modify the engine though.

I wouldn't cuss Paxton nearly so much if they would produce NOVI upgrades for these cars.
Somebody needs to poke them in the eye with a "wake up"stick
I remember back when the Chevy guys got all the good parts!
