It's Alive!!!!

As of 10:00p.m. last night(01/13/01)...I finally got to start and run my car today with the ATI D1sc procharger installed....today I finished the install of the cooling fans..also i borrowed a digital camcorder and took some footage....I don't know if this will work but try this link

That is BAD!! I can't wait to get my 383 done after seeing and hearing your clip. I smiled the whole time it played. You need to post a clip of doing a burn out for us!!

Did you have a P600B before the D1? If so, did you notice a big difference? I liked the bigger pulley on the D1, and the belt looks much wider.

Your car sounds great!

I'm not sure why, but all I can get is audio- no video. Anyone know why? The only thing I can think of is I need to get some codec coding. Know where I can find this?

O.k., i figured it out....yes, if all you get is the audio, you do need the proper codec file....so if you go to my webpage, i put the codec file there....sorry about all the hassles....

slp01gta --- to answer your question...no i didnt have the p600...this is my first supercharger....procharged89z(darren) did do the upgrade from the p600 to the D1sc...and Willie removed his paxton and installed the D1sc...he's say's the car pulls beyond belief!!!...i have yet too drive my car with the blower....(waiting for the snow to melt)...this is my winter project....hopefully i will be able too sneak the car out before april though..

oh my dear lord! dude... if people like you keep putting vids like this on the net, i may be forced to change my mind on my next engine(not too far in future) to a blown motor, instead of a NA one... hmmmm

Alright, video is now seen....I've been debating whether to use ATI D-1SC or turbos for my 383...Yep, D-1SC is gonna win out on this.

So whats up guys?I havent heard from Willie or Larry for a while I think Im hearing good news though by the attitude of the post.Willie email me if you have time Id like to know whats going on.
Larry,did you have any belt walking problems like Willie?Im still waiting on my custom ASP crank pully,It will be about 3 weeks,I sent it out last week,then I will join you guys in firing up my motor as well.Get back to me and let me know your progress.

Good god, that thing is loud. My brother's D-1 is only about half as loud as that. But then again, there are other factors that could explain this.

The louder the better! My P600B is really loud at idle and pretty quiet under boost.

Hey Procharged, have you driven the car yet with the D-1? Can you feel a big difference over the P600? How many pounds of boost are you going to be running (I know that boost is a arbitury number)? I know you made over 400 hp without the blower, that car is going to be a screamer! I don't know if you remember me but I e-mailed you about your fuel system and asked you some other questions around Thanksgiving time. Here is my update-parts for my new 383 are slowly arriving. I have done a lot of cleaning and rebuilt the front end while waiting for the motor. OH, I also got a set of 600 mile old '97 WS6 "17 chrome wheels! I haven't got them mounted on the car yet though. Hopefully it won't be to much longer and the parts will be a motor.

why did you op for the D1? i just got my info pack today from ATI, and i dont see why the D1(i mean,, except for the obvious, that it flows tons more) is so much better, FOR THE STREET, than the P600B... from the stats of them, it looks like the latter of the two will more than provide enough air for the engine... what gives?

the D-1 and D-1SC is more of a race blower that you CAN use on the street. the only thing is that you would either have to lower compression or lower the boost because the D-1s come stock with like 15psi.

if you know anything about vortech blowers...the D-1 is very comparable to the YS-trim and the P600B is comparable to a S or T-trim.
