NOS TPI plate size

I was considering buying a nitrous kit for a tpi with a plate behind the tb. I was wondering would the openings match to a 58mm tb and if not, can the spray bars be easily removed for porting. I don't care what brand it is so any experience would be appc'd. I just don't want one with a single spray nozzle you stick in the ducting. It doesn't inspire equal cylinder filling IMO.

I don't know if it is true but I was told that the plate does not inspire equal cylinder filling. so went with the nx kit. take a look at this. site.http://www.sc3gfb.org/resources/nos.html
let me know if you have different info. nathan

I just read that article and the guy is basicaly right about everything except how nitrous helps an engine make more power. It is not just the cooling efect nitrous has that makes more power. In fact that is secondary. Nitrous oxide is an oxidizer. It is chemically known as n2o. That is 2 parts nitrogen to 1 part oxygen. Nitrous oxide is an oxidizer, and more fuel + more oxidizer = more power.

I do agree with the authors point on distrbution to the front two cylinders though.

As far as the NOS plate goes all have seen are 48mm. Accell had a dry plate that was 58mm.

Also there are a few companies that will drill your plenum at the throttle body mouth, and insert a spray bar in it.

Thanks for the help. Does the spray bars come out without damage though?

The spray bar for my NOS kit is bigger than my 52mm TB.I would guess that a 58mm TB would be about the size of the plate.

I bet my plate is at least 58mm on my NOS setup. It is way bigger than my TB.
