Boost max w/ these turbos estimate?

2 .48 AR T3's on a 350 maxing at 6000rpm with a manual boost controller? I've heard of 2 .63 AR T3's pushing 15psi or better on a 351...but I have no idea how these compare.

get a pair of the .63's and your done. look how fast that 351w capri goes. damn fast in my opinion. and how much faster could he go with the right air bonnet and fuel system? those turbos have potential to make lots of power on your 350. should'nt be to hard to find a pair either.

I'm not running that much boost anyway...even if the turbos would handle it my engine won't. I'm shooting for about 8 pounds.

i'd be willing to bet you could make an easy 500 or so with a decent pair of cylinder heads. horsepower doesn't kill engines nearly as much as rpm. i doubt you would ever have to shift the motor above 5500 being turbocharged at that power level. my bone stock 5.0 made peak power at 4400 on 10lbs. shifting at 5000 the car went 12.13 @ 118mph. i have stock g.n turbos on it. those also have .63 turbines. to big for my motor. spool up is'nt very good in first gear. killed my 60'. my smaller engine would surely like the .48 turbines. kevin.

I have an '83 TA. The engine was replaced with a 350. It is a carborated engine, and I was told it is a 350 4 bolt main. It is an automatic. I want to put in some turbo's, or a supercharger, or a turbocharger. I would most likely want to install turbos. The only problem is that how much will they cost? Will my car be able to handle the turbos? Should I buy the turbos new? How hard would they be to install? Please let me know. This is a street car, I dont want to go killing myself with it either. I am only 16, so I want something that gives a lot power, but just enough that I can handle. I dont want to make it a track car, or at least until I get my 4th gen.

the .48 AR t-3's came on svo mustangs they can feed up to about 270 hp each @ 20 psi of boost. The .63 AR t-3 came on the TTA/GN i belive if you have a decent engine like a 383 with a good cam and heads get these if you have a relativly stock 350 get the .48 's bost will spool very quickly. This is what you want. Remimber it is not really power that kills it is detonation and rpm. The .48's would be better for your aplication. Besides that i would recomend that you get a good intercooler mounted up for these turbos. I think a couple good water to air intercoolers off of a syclone would be great. other than that you will be ok. Remimber you are going to have a blow your motor up **** don't get to happy with it.
