tpi 305 75 shot??

I just bought a 87 z28 with the tpi 305 with the small cam I am going to do free mods, slp cai, and flowmaster cat-back. The car has 89k miles and I was wondering if a nx 75 dry shot would hurt the engine. I probrobly woudlent spray alot just when a mustang/import messes with me which doesn't happen too much around here. I will probrobly have a w.o.t switch to activate it. Would I need to get a chip burned for the ecu or anything. Thanks in advance for the info!

A Nitrous Express wet kit works just fine at 75hp. Follow the directions for jetting and install, fuel and nitrous pressure. Stock timing and 91-93 octane should be good. New spark plugs(non platinum) and make sure the ignition system is working good.

A fuel pressure safety switch, WOT switch, bottle warmer, purge, blowdown tube, digital nitrous pressure guage, and a remote bottle opener are a few items that can make for less headaches also.

Don't use anything but the stock chip and programming. Leave the timing at 6 degrees base verified with a timing light and the brown wire to the dist. disconnected. Connect that wire when finished with the timing light. WOT switch is a great idea for sure.

With ok traction and the mods you listed, you should go from mid 15's to low 14's or better.

you guys have to modify your fuel injectors? I would think they would pulse out, I get pretty lean at some points with the stock motor and a 15* base advance.

I was running mostly 100 and once or twice 150 shots on my stock 350 with stock injectors, but I got the digital air/fuel gauge, the heated o2 and adjusted the fuel pressure higher with afpr only when using the nitrous. Never a problem. Like the other guy said, make sure you have it at the base timing, you do not want to advance it. Also, running 93 octane, or sunoco 94, maybe some octane booster will make it safer. Unless your motor is already on its way out the door, you should be totally safe on the 75 shot if you take these few precautions. It's not like you have a civic and a 50 shot can blow your motor to bits. nitrous xpress 75 shot should add a lot of torque as well, over 100 ft/lbs making for some serious gains. The WOT switch is the best way to go. Make sure you have some drag radials or you probably won't see any gains because you will spin the heck out of street tires and won't be going anywhere fast.
