Nitrous issues

I own a 1987 TPI 5.0 Formula. rebuilt motor and trans. w/ a 100 dry shot of nitrous, posi rear. I'm scared eventually my motor is gonna blow cuz of the nitrous, I'm deciding on either Forgeing the pistons and rods or just swapping to a 350 motor. I have friends that have stock GM 350 motors and they spary large shots of nitrous and don't have problems w/ there motors at all.
I sprayed my twice already and didn't have any problems, but before I spray i went to get 98 octane racing fuel a friend advised me to do that. The question is what should i do; keep doing what I'm doing spraying w/ the 305 motor w/ the racing fuel (98 octane from a Sunoco gas station), Forge the pistons and rods, or do the 350 motor swap?

The motor will not blow up if you take precautions when using nitrous, even on cast internals.(100Shot or less).

How are you adding fuel to the motor for the nitrous?

If you are only going to use 100 shot or less i would not change anything and keep doing what you are doing but double check everything and keep the motor very rich on activation (for extra safety). It also never hurts to start building a 350 while you are having fun with this one.

The rotating assembly will take 100 shot of nitrous for a long time if its not detonated and keep rich. Soooo have fun :-)

what do you mean by keeping the motor very rich on activation??? Do you mean like Engine Flushes, tune ups, oil changes etc.

And the way I'm adding the fuel is by pumping the gas into my tank... If I have 1/4 tank of gas i'll fill the rest up w/ racing fuel thats what I do

I just reread what you wrote and said that you had a dry kit. (Thats what I was asking). Drop your timing a little bit and you should be fine
