If you mean the arming switch and/or manual activation switch, it is just up to your taste or preference. Just be sure you can reach them when strapped into your harness or seat belt.
I've seen them mounted all over the place, from the center console to the flat section of the dash over the radio, in brackets/bezels mouted on the bottom of the center AC vents, on overhead consoles, inside the ash tray, even momentary switches behind the cigarette lighter, where the rear defogger switch would be, just about anywhere you can drill a hole, or mount a plate/bracket/bezel to ount a switch in.

I've got my arming switch mounted in a two-switch panel next to my fan switch, just above my left knee. It's screwed into the bottom of the dash. The activation switch is right on the shifter where my finger rests. Arm with the left, squeeze with the right.

l mounted my switch right at the left side of the shifter, before the power lock switch, right where your thumb would rest, so l can hit it with my thumb before l switch, l just chopped a small hole in the console, then l slipped it in. it works awesome, looks cool, and it's out of the way.
