I have extra Nos solonoids. How can I set up a purge?
I am installing a new nitrous kit on my TPI and I have a nitrous and fuel solonoid from another kit left over. Can anyone give me an idea on how to set up a purge using the nos solonoid? The purge kits include the solonoid, wiring, filter and the switch. It also has the tube with small holes in it to purge. I don't know where this is hooked up at and where I can get it. I wonder if I need a "Y" connector to run the nitrous into the purge solonoid. Any pics, links or info would be appreciated.

The wiring is easy, just hook up a momentary to the solenoid, you should fuse it too (i don't think much amperage is pulled by the solenoid so a small amperage fuse would work use a decently rated switch to be safe too, i got a 20amp).
You can use a "Y" connector to put the solenoid inline before your other solenoids.
Use one of the fuel pressure guage connectors by earls that they sell in summit (about $8.50) or if you don't care about looks you could just get a brass "T" from a hardware store. Then get an AN fitting to connect the solenoid to the connector (can get from summit or hardware store too depending on if you care if it looks nice or not) and attatch the solenoid to your adaptor or "T".
What to do with N20 after it leaves the solenoid is up to you. You can use hard tubing w/ compression fittings or ss braided line, it doesn't really matter as long as it can handle the cold and doesn't leak.
I have always wondered if anyone used vacuum tubing for this and if it caused problems. Right now I am using copper tubing/compression fittings.

I did: Conical K&N w/cust piping, TPIS Airfoil, Ported Plenum/Runners, TB By-pass, Home Made AFPR, MSD Cap/Rotor, Jet Fan Switch, 180 T-stat, , Flowmaster 3” Cat-back, Eibach 1” Drop, KYB’s, Hotchkis STB, BFG 255 Comp T/A’s, AC Plugs, NOS TPI (custom) Kit , Sony CD Deck, Orion Amp, Fosgate 10’s, 1991 GTA interior, new paint. I have but have yet to put on: Alston Bolt on SFC’s, Paxton SN-92. Soon: Mallory Hyfire, Autometer Phantom Elec. FP guage, N20 Guage, Boost Guage, Fuel Pressure Safety Switch, Bottle Blanket. Not So Soon: L98 w/ alum heads. Always a work in progress..

now that I think about it, the brass "T" might not be the best because It could obstruct N20 flow where the FP guage adaptor is made to not obstruct flow, but I don't know, anybody have any opinions on this?
