MSD 8977

i have my msd8977 digital timing controller all wired up for the most part, thanks to willie......just a couple questions to anyone that has one, when using the 2 or 3 step rev limit controls, do you still need a latching relay to hold the line lock on when you stage the car, or does the box do that as well? I can't seem to find any info on it, and MSD is obviously closed until tomorrow.

Kevin,

Glad to hear you've basically got it installed already! I never did find anyone else here using the 8977 or even the 8979 (without boost control) but you might get lucky before Monday....

BTW, the timing retard that's programmed in the 8977 when you got it won't work for you. It's set for an altitude of 3100 feet. I'm assuming Massachusetts isn't that high!
