budget turbo question:

i'm wondering if it would be possoble to put twin turbos (say a pair of T-25s) on a 305? you could use water injection to avoid haveing an I/C and make it carbed for simplicity. I don't know much about F-bodies, and i don't own one so maybe my questions are kind of dumb. how much power can a stock LG4 handle? if it takes a total engine rebuild then it's not really cheap, which is the whole reason for my idea.

anyway i found this site which is somewhat like what i want to do: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/D...8/BudgetTT.htm

thanks for any replies.

Similar things can and have been done with great success.

Given the immense amount of work and trouble involved however, I can't imagine doing it to a dog like an LG4. Even tho it would probably live just fine under mild boost, I'd recommend upgrading the engine first, so you have a better place to start building from.

Owning the car first would probably help as well

i was just wondering about the 305 cuz you can get them cheap and they look pretty good (the car). I was just wondering if it was possible, it might make a neat project.

those motors can't possibly be any worse than a 5.0 ford. especially the cylinder heads. put turbo boost to them though and they're a whole different animal.
