How many horses will I be putting out?!?!?!
I have an 86 305 TPI T/A. In the next 2 weeks I will be putting in an L98 out of a '91 F-Body (not sure which but it dont matter)Im gonna put in the Jet Chip 6 pack Chip, SLP Headers, Borla cat back, I have a high Flow cat, Im also gettin GT Auto's Ram air hood, Im gonna somehow make that functional.
soooo....with a '91 L98, headers, cat back, Ram Air, and my chip in the Jet Chip stage II mode how much HP do you think I'll be putting out.
240...L98
+20...Jet Chip
+25-30...exhaust
=285-290...what could I do to possible get another 15-20 to hit 300HP...Functional Ram wont give me that much?
------------------
1986 Trans Am, T-Top, 305 TPI, Flowmaster 80 series. Much more to come in July.
[*]Sound System: Dual 12" Ground Zero Nuclear Series 900 watt RMS subs in custom box made to fit the rear well, Only 500 watts running them though, Pioneer Head Unit and Rockford Fosgate wiring.

You can't just stack up the advertised HP numbers and add them up. Each of those mods individually might give you their advertised gain if they were installed on a stock engine, but the more you add the less incremental improvement you'll see from each one.
You also have to watch how they measure to make their claim of HP gained. They might claim a 20 HP gain but it occurs around 2000 RPM or so, and may only gain 5 HP or so at the power peak.
