First what compression are you running at???

Next, you'll need to swap over to a serpentine belt system if you already have not.

Then you'll have to set your carb up to perform as a blow-thru carb. also you'll have to get a carb bonnet to attach the system to the carburator.

And finally, you'll have to check your cam specs for valve overlap, the more valve overlap you have, the more it will hurt the performance of the supercharger. allowing the fuel/air mixture to blow right out that spintech muffler.

I'm sure there is other things to consider that i may have forgotten. but this should get you going for now

later

Check out KB piston site it's got the formula to figure it out but you need alot of the numbers like gasket thickness, head cc, piston cc etc.

To the original question asker you might want to look into some 58cc chamber heads. 305s had 58cc and 350s usually have 64 or 76 except some newer one have 58 like I think the vette. a 64cc head will give you a 1/2 point of less compression over a 58cc head and a 76cc head will give a full point drop over a 64cc head with all else equal.

And for some brutal honestly I'd ditch the 305 for either a 400 or 350 block. With all the dough your spending on the procharger etc it's in your best interst to. Hell you might not even need a procharger with good 350 and a small shot of the juice for those times when you want a little umph. IMO you won't be able to reap the benefits of the Procharger without at least better rods unless you just wanna burn up the 305.

The only thing he has to worry about is picking up pistons off the pavement. The first WOT on a stock shortblock with all of those ponies will pull the main webs right off. It'll do that way before he burns up the engine because that little carb isn't jetted right.

have you already tried to run this as a blow through system? if it's done right you'll make good power with that 305 and have a blast. don't rev the p*ss out of it and respect the pump gas with lower boost and there's no reason for it not to be reliable.
