Can you use stock manifolds with a turbo?

Can't you just use them in their stock location and bring the exhaust back up to the turbo in one pipe?

Theoratically possible I guess..but it's not the most effectve way to go about things. More pipe to get in the way, and you want the turbo(s) as close to the manifolds as possible.

I was looking at a set of stock 2nd gen manifolds on a motor on a stand flipped upside down awhile ago. It looked like they cleared everything. Of course..I only gave it a very cursory look over and wouldn't swear to it..but it might be something for you to look into if you wanted to use iron manifolds.
