To NOS, or not to NOS....that is my question
To NOS, or not to NOS....that is my question
Well, I've got a rebuilt bottom end. A machine shop cleaned it, bored it .030" over, blueprinted it, balanced it, the whole nine yards. I have a stock crank and stock rods, and Sealed Power forged aluminum pistons. I've got about 1,000 miles on the motor, and over the winter I am getting a SuperRam, AFR heads, and a cam that I haven't chosen yet. So, do you guys think it would be worth it to get a NOS system? If so, how big of shot? Can my motor handle it? I've heard horror stories of people melting blocks, putting holes in plenums, etc. How can you prevent this? Thanks in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
