P-1SC vs. D-1SC

Alright I am definetly going to get one of these for my car later in the upcoming year. I just need to know where to set my money goal at so I can afford one of these things.

I have the broschure from Procharger and they don't really distinguisher much of a difference aside from the D1 making more power. So I am just wondering what is the difference between the 2 of these?

And if there is already a big long discussion about this i missed in my search just post a link to it so I can check it out if you happen to know it.

What kinda horsepower do you want and are you going to expand down the road?

here's the ONE main diff you need to realize

P series = doesn't make A LOT of boost easy and is made for low boost applications due to the impeller design

D series = makes A LOT of boost EASIER and is made for more higher boost applications in the 14psi+ range due to the impeller design

if you plan to stay around 10-12psi for just about forever...hehehe

get a p series. With a built motor and 12psi you should be in the 11s somewhere

if you want to run 10s or quicker go with the D series

Alright well you know how planning goes it always gets screwed up hehe.

But here is the current plan for now I am going to toss bolt ons to the 350 while I build another motor for it in my garage as I make money to do it.

I was just looking at the prices for a D-1SC off a web page called Performance SS or something? And it's only like 3500 so i'm going with that, might as well spend the extra and be prepared

Thanks!

VaneGTA,

I purchased my D1sc kit thru performance SS, they had great customer service, always very pleasant when they answered my questions.

Make sure when ordering that you specify what boost level, and if you want(at a extra cost) the blower and intake tract polished.

the noisey and quiet gears is a myth i guess, I specified to have the noisey gears and my unit tested at 97 dB's. Willie's quiet unit tested at 96 dB's hhhmm

later

Yeah my big thing was from ATI themselves they have in the broschure over 4k for the D-1SC which is why I posted this question. But after I found it for 3500 thats a much nicer number for me to handle lol.

And Maniacc you got that right I want my 3500 to be heard.
