a few questions about upgrades

i was thinking about upgrading to a roller with similar specs as my current hyd cam. i'm loooking at a crane power max (87 prior ) .509/.528 with 284/292 adv. duration. will going to a roller be worth the cost , and should i put my 1.6's back on if i get this cam? the cam i have now is a .480/.480 292 with 1.6's on it, i believe comes out to .510
i'll have tio call them and find out the LSA is first
with hypereutectic pistons how much spray can safely use , with the proper fuel and timing adjustments(the motor does have studs top and bottom)

thanks to anybody who takes the time to give me some advise

would a solid roller be more beneficial?

It is worth going to a roller cam.The faster ramp speeds allows you to have more duration because it slams the the valves shut faster and the cam can be more aggressive (and a plus, you don't have to break it in like a flat tappet cam).Did the block come with a roller cam?Does it have provisions in the lifter valley for the lifter retainer clamp tray?I would still run the 1.6 rockers (are they roller too?) You will have to set the lash on a mechanical cam, probably a couple of times a month, depending on how much you race or drive it.It is up to you if you want to go with a solid roller,I have one but don't run it on the street. As for the nitrous, hypereutectics DO NOT like nitrous, you will have a melt down! You need forged pistons.
