ram air induction

Okay... I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but has anyone modified their intake by porting the air from the fog lights up to the air filter inlets. I have a 1987 IROC with K&N filters, and have already cut out those plastic "traps" below the filters... I guess those are for blocking massive debris entry? Or maybe a monsoon? Anyway, feedback on this? I saw an article on this in mods here at third gen, but has anyone got some practical experience on this? Thanks!

jethro,
I did a Ram Air mod from the fog lights area and ducted it to my Supercharger:
Check out my web site in the photo page sections and take a look.

OK... got the ducting... I also used a disc cutter to remove those traps, and I'll hook it up today.... I NEVER have a problem with cooling, due to a rheostat controlled fan switch with a probe into the radiator hose... I'll post a follow up

Well... that didnt work too well... I didn't pull out the fog lights, which was probably my mistake, but at above 90mph the car bogged down, looking for air... 14.2 was my time... so took them out and ran a 13.92... i'm going to pull the lights soon and try it again.... lol
