N2O on an auto..... PLEASE HELP

Car: 88 Trans Am
Engine: lt1 intaked 355 makin 277 on 25 psi of fuel pressure and stock timing :)
Transmission: A4 stock... that moved a mobile dyno a foot shifting into 2nd :)
N2O on an auto..... PLEASE HELP

do u engage the N2O in 1st gear? or wait till 2nd and engage it with a button?..... please help.... trying to get the best e.t.'s and street races....

Whether or not you fire your nitrous in first gear or not depends entirely on the amount of traction you can get. This depends on which rear gears you have, what tires, what supensions mods etc. If you can spray out of the hole then you will go faster.

basically you just have to keep it on above 3,000 RPM's you can put it in on first when you hit 3,000 RPM if its only like a 75-100 shot it will hook.

If you've got 2.73's in the rear then you damn well better spray in 1st...in reality you'll hook a lot better than guys that spra with higher gear ratios, though I don't think that's a better trade off in the end

i know on my 3 spd hydromatic, with streets tires i spin, but when i'm on slicks i can do a N2O lunch...in first gear and spray threw second" closely watching RPM"
