Thinking about Nitrious

thinking about putting it on a TBI setup with all the ultimate TBI mods. saw one in jegs and summit for $550. For 75-150 shot. Are ther any other larger shots availble for a stock 305, w/ slp cat back, fast chip, open air? Thanks

I think 125 is pretty much the limit for the LO3 unless you get forged pistons and crank and rods

------------------
89 camaro 305 tbi, flomaster 3 chamber cat back, gutted cat, Edlebrock TES Headers, Exhaust cutout, Edlebrock open element, 160 degree T-stat, Hurst Dual Gate shifter, Lakeland LCA's, and a Stage 2 FastChip.

2 kicker comp 12"'s, polk for the rest. Phoenix gold xs2300 to subs, kicker impulse 404XI to 4 speakers, pioneer DEH- P7000R head unit, and finally a 12 disc changer. Full leather interior from http://www.MrMikes.com

I would say a 100HP shot is pushing it for that engine...

------------------
1984 z28 w/ a 357 cu in. monster engine which is looking like the posterchild for Edelbrock with the exception of the Holley 750vac... all the suspension stuff... 9-bolt posi disk is in...

The kits you're looking at are designed for the stock internals/fuel system of the factory engines. You can change the jets on the nitrous kit for more power but you'd also be watching your engine fail. Also, don't use nitrous with aftermarket chips UNLESS you plan to run an ignition retard box.

If you go the NO2 route I'd go back to the stock chip for your setup and try the 100HP shot setting. You'll definitely feel the difference when you juice it.
