guys i dont know anything about turbo's but im tossing ideas around about my engine set up and want to know if you can turbo a carbed engine. and if you can what is involved in doing it? i never seen a turbo that wasnt on fuel injection and i dont know much at all about turbo's so thats why im asking if it can be done. thanks guys

 

Yes, you can run a turbo on a carb. You'll probably want to run a blow-thru setup which requires some modifications to your carb, such as floats. For all the information you could possible want to know on boosting, check out TurboMustangs Forums - Index although it is primarily for mustangs there is a small block chevy section.

Good luck if you do go boost, I plan on boosting my 305 in the spring.
