Formula hood functional S/C intake?
I am curious. I've been looking at engine bay pics with superchargers and the filter seems to sit where the scoop of the Formula hood sits. I was wondering if it is really that close and effective or not.
Just curious. I would like to get a S/C one day and would like to use my '84 Trans Am hood and have it be somewhat functional for cool air.

Yes it will work.
I have fabbed up my own box that is sealed to the opening when the hood is shut.
I replaced the stock plate in my Formula hood with one from a 84 T/A with the holes in it.
