Plug Advice for Bigger shot.
Hello All. I have currently been running Champion's RC12YC in a set of Dart Pro 1's but have recently added a NX Hitman plate. I have since changed to AutoLight's 3924 spraying a 100 shot on a 350 with Hypers with no problems. Now I have the 150 jets in, and need some advice on whether to move down to the 3923's. FWIW I am running a Victor Jr with a 750 DP and have installed a second fuel system with 6.5 psi to the fuel noid and a total of 32° advance. I am also using a micro switch to activate the system. Just curious if there is anyone running a similiar set up and what plugs they are using for 150 hit of gas..
Thanks
Thanks

I was using stock heat range Bosch Supers on my stock TPI but have switched to NGK TR6's. I would drop down a heat range just to be safe with your setup and pull 2 degrees of timing (30 total).

Thanks, I did just that and went another step colder (3923's) to be safe and all is well so far. I have always heard you lose a bit of hp with colder plugs especially with aluminum heads but it doesn't feel as if I lost any. So far I have been pleased with the Autolights.

I definetly gained power going with the TR6's over the Bosch's. The Bosch plugs were to short and wouldn't get entirely into the combustion chamber, This gave me some weird idle issues but ran out ok. Every time I would spray it the car would run alot better for a while, then go back to idle hunting and such. I installed TR6's in a friends Mustang as well and he picked up power. I think you would have to drop heat ranges to the point of serious plug fouling before you really lost power.
