Blower and engine question

Axle/Gears: stock
Blower and engine question

hey all, whats the difference between a 6-71 and an 8-71? would this rotating assembly handle one of the blowers? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku thanks for any help

An 8-71 is bigger
So, this is planned on a 383?
It says "cast steel crank", then "forged crankshaft". I'd want to know which it is. I beam 5140 rods are good.
This should be ok with a 6-71. Main thing is, 12cc dish pistons. Watch the CR, using a blower like that you probably want bigger dished pistons to get the CR low enough to use a roots blower like that.
