Hey everybody!!!!!! i just finished my rebuild for my camaro. These are the specs: bored 30 over, stock 305 heads with 1.81 intake valve, full roller 1.5 rockers, 420 440 camshaft, dish pistons, msd 50000 volt hei distributor, edelbrock preformer intake, edelbrock 600cfm electric choke carb, full exhaust. im happy with the rebuild but im looking for a good increase in more HP. Im thinking ati procharger but i also like turbos too. whats good for my car? im not to conserned about gas millage but im only looking at 8 psi as the max boost my bottom end can hold. ive got the 700r4 tranny and the stock rearend. im not looking to spend a whole lot of money. ive seen twin turbo kits on ebay for about 1200$ and the universal sts turbo for about 2300$ and the superchareger ranges from 3500$-5500$ depending on the kit i want. any suggestions can be greatly appreciated

 

get ready for a rude awakening. a blow-through carbed turbo setup is expensive to do it right and make the engine live. you'll need a way better fuel system, a holley that's modified for boost and an ignition system that'll keep up. the turbo manifolds and turbo may be able to be had for $1200, but to upgrade the fuel and ignition system to keep everything alive (even at 8psi) along with waste gates and blow off valves and you're in the $4K+ range!
