twin turbo ex system help

alright guys im just about ready to finish up my new 3.3L v6.im doing a twin turbo setup on this engine, but the last thing i havent planed out to well was the ex system.im going to be running two three inch down pipes.
now my idea is to just run each side out behind the doors trailing edge and direct it out from under the car.

any idea how loud this is gonna be without mufflers, think a bullet type muffler would offer any kind of sound level reduction, other then that i really cant think of any kind of free flowing muffler that i could possibly fit under the car, except for a single chamber flowmaster.and i think id rather run no muffler at all then put another flowmaster on the car with the turbos

any ideas ?

anyone have any sound clips of a twin turbo setup with open down pipes?

It will be fairly loud with no mufflers. I will try to get a clip of mine with twins exiting in front of the tires, but mine was a v8.
my friends syclone with open downpipe isn't that loud so I can't imagine yours will be loud enough to drive you crazy or get you in trouble. putting a muffler on mine didn't really muffle it much other then cutting the turbo sound out for the most part.
I say go for it without mufflers, if you don't like it just put some dynomax bullet mufflers on it.
with a v6 I would imagine the bullets will shut it up a decent amount

im thinking its gonna be really loud
heres a soundclip of my original single turbo 2.8,this is with a 2.5 inch down pipe out to a 2.5 inch factory ex with a 80 series flowmaster with 3 inch tail pipes
this was recorded outside from behind the car at a right angle about 10 ft away
this is just idling and free rev with no load on the engine

I think that sound clip sounds great!

my version of loud might be different than yours though.
I would think that 2 bullet mufflers would make it about as loud as it is an that sound clip maybe a little louder, but I don't have alot of experience with v6s except syclones

well this is my DD so it cant be to loud, the one thing i did notice is that with my single turbo and my flowmaster the ex seems to get quieter at wot as the boost starts to climb.

I LOVE the way that sounded! The stock exhaust is 2.5"? If that's the case, that's perfect for me seeing my 'Bird is NOT my daily driver (I only put a couple of hundred miles a month on it). I would also be able to keep the duals which I really like.
-Once again THANX dave!

yeah that was with my old engine i was running/thats the one that had the turbo cam in it.

btw i happened to take the ex off the car today,(have a flange were the cat used to be) and only left the downpipe from the turbo to were the cat should be
and alls i have to say is god damnn it sounds bad ***,the whine that comes from the turbo without a full ex on the car is unreal lol.though it was to loud for me to leave it like that.
though nowere as near as loud as myu original i built for the car before i went turbo
2.8L 10.5-1 cr fully ported heads, high lift mechanical cam, ported intake etc etc etc

HAHA, yeah the quality is rough! Had to turn the pc kind of low (family is sleeping) and the idle wav almost sounds like galloping horses, LOL. I like the sound of the turbo cam - reminds me of a Buick GN.

Some people, maybe lol. If you listen real carefully a V6 just doesn't have the same rhythm as a V8 at idle. But yes quite lopy!
