turbo oil line restrictors? Help

I have a 1992 trans am convertible with a 350 tpi from a 90 ta. I just put a rajay turbo on it with a procharger intercooler. I have the oil feed line coming off the back of the block behind the intake going to the top of the turbo and then from the turbo to the oil pan. Today after making a pass or two on the street my oil pressure went from about 40psi to 0psi. I put less than a mile on it. when I pulled back in the parking lot I heard the start of a rod knock before I turned it off.
Before the turbo was installed I had 40-60 psi all day long. Now with the turbo on it, when it’s hot, it drops to 0psi and I have a rod knock. Is the turbo taking all of my oil? Do I need oil restrictors ? will nos jets work if drilled? what size? The engine will be out this weekend to see and fix the damage and to install a cam so any info to prevent it from happening again would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance
Adam

I wouldn't think the turbo feed itself caused the full oil pressure drop, maybe a fitting came loose? What size line do you have going to the turbo? It's likely you do need a restrictor anyway, though. .060" is a common size that seems to work well, as turbos don't need all that much oil.

Read posts 61-74 (last posts to date) in my thread, I'm having similar issues, info for which is spread throughout those posts.

The ATP restrictors are on their way, I'll update the thread if they fix the problem.

Man I am sorry to hear that. I think I was the one that sold you the Intercooler. How is it working out for you? Can you take some pics when you get a chance?

This seems to work for my 2 turbo setup:

1) One feed line from top of block at read of intake
One feed line from side of block above oil filter

2) 1/4" steel feed lines to each center housing

3) .060" hole restrictors at each center housing from www.atpturbo.com
I installed them from the get go. Figured $14 each was worth it.

4) -8AN S/S return lines to front of oil pan

It has the same oil pressure as it had before the two turbos. Check out the Holset docs at their website for some more info on turbo oil requirements. I haven't seen any Garrett info in terms of oil requirements besides what ATPturbo has listed. They are a real Garrett distributor. Excellent service too.

thanks everyone for your help with this.
gunner- I think you were the one I got the intercooler from. Its still not finnished but its on there. its coming back out this weekend when the motor is out to clean up the engine bay and repaint all of the piping. I will post pics when its finished I just installed it all to figure out where it will fit correctly. Right now it looks to cluttered to show pics.

Im running a 3 an line to the turbo and after reading some other posts My turbo seems to be smoking when it gets hot. I think (from what I've read) it might be from too much oil going to the turbo and pushing past the seals. I will put in the ristrictors in when I put it back together. I also have a small line for the oil return that I will be making larger its about 2x the size of the feed line But not sure the exact size. it was a peice of fuel line I had around the shop from either the stealth ram or nitrous install we did a while back.

junkcltr- the cam is one I got on ebay this week these are the
Cam specs:

dur @ .050 int 218 ex 225

lobe sep 114

lobe lift with 1.5 rockers int .519 ex .525

with 1.6 rockers int .554 ez .560

serial # Nu-Tek21912244
let me know what you guys think of this cam
hope to have this back up and running again in the next couple weeks
thanks again for your help
