My buddy has a 5.0 tbi and he looking to supercharge. I was just wondering how much boost can it handle without damaging the motor. Thanks.

is the engine stock? what CR is it running? is he looking into roots or centrifugal?

if he's going oldy-roots style, check this out- http://www.holley.com/data/Catalogs/Superchargers.pdf . it's some good reading that might answer quite a few of your questions, and some you might not have known to ask.

if he's looking into centrifugal, check out http://www.procharger.com/faq.shtml .

I'd research this a bit more before you do anything definite yet as there are so many variables, but a stock LO3 should safely be able to take 3-4 psi roots style (switching to premium fuel would be a good idea, and keep an eye on your timing).

it could take a couple more psi out of a centrifugal supercharger but 305 tbi's don't tend to do well in the areas where centrifugal's are meant to shine (upper rpms). I doubt you wanna hear this but it's always best to read up on stuff first.

P.S.- also at Holley.com , you can check out the Lunati catalog to read up on cam basics, just for fun
