If i install the wastegate pipe to dump into the open would it be loud?

Does anyone have a video or sound clip of the wastegate being dump into open air?

 

My wastegate dumps right out towards the ground and it's fairly loud. It sounds like an exhaust leak on crack. Hoping it will be open less as I turn the boost up.

 

it depends how loud your exhaust is but you won't hear it till your in boost anyways
and all it does is hiss really loudly if it is loud, kinda sounds like a jet!

 

I had mine unhooked for a few weeks and it was very loud when I floored it. I would hook them up. And yeagh the exhaust leak sounds terrible.

 

I've got open dumps as well. They are quite loud - I'm not a big fan of the hissing/sputtering sound, but at the time, they were necessary w/ the exhaust I was running. It is unique, though!

 

My open dump is very loud. But it sounds good. Like a jet. I like it because when im crusing, the car is quite, but i can make it loud real fast. Its in the crossover pipe. It was on the turbo header, but it sounded like crap. So i moved it.
